Howard,

Short of going into the radio and doing some mods, I know of no way to do. 
Even on a radio like the TS2000 or the TS590, where you can connect a 
different receive antenna, I don't think there's a way to do what you want 
to do.  Perhaps someone else knows of something, or has some creative ideas?
