Thanks! I am getting familiar with the radio, but foiled myself a couple of times when I think I'm sending and discover I had pressed the vox level button and was sending CW to myself. grin.
I really like the receiver in this radio and would say it is even better or certainly equal to the Omni 5 I had about 10 years ago. Of course it is hard to make any comparison when I haven't heard a radio in a rather long time. I think the challenge is just remembering where the buttons are and how you can leverage the radio's features for the best possible operation.
The one thing you might know more about and I may have just not found it in the manual yet is the whole deal on the shift knobs. I think more of these has bringing in certain filters. Of course I've forgotten a lot of stuff and really need to bone-up on so much. Any info is appreciated.
