Tom,

I think you have it.

After you modify that first line in the .rig file you are going to use than 
when the program is launched it will read and use that file.

When you launch WS log, you are presented with a list of options, choose 
"rig Data", fill in the fields for each band you will operate and then this 
info will be inserted into your log when you enter a new contact into your 
log.
