Man, Pat, that brings back memories. When I had my Novice, I started with
an old regenerative receiver, as I recall, a Heath GR-91.

I went to a friend's house who had the NC-303. I really wanted one and just
prior to Christmas, my folks bought me a re-conditioned NC-300 from Leo's
Word Radio Labs. What a neat receiver that was, a real knob-twister's
delight!
