Geez, take a breath dude. It would seem from the replies that many on
this list either have, or have had the Drake gear and they were happy to
talk about it. Perhaps that level of experience with the Yeasu gear
doesn't exist here. That could be for any number of reasons, not just
the anti Yeasu prejudice that you think exists.
As for the 40 meter frequency, I would personally stay put, but most
of the net stations are in the mid-west and I guess they are hearing
stuff that I don't hear from Philly. I don't think we've been chased
all over the band, maybe had to move twice. Big amp or not, it's still
first come, first served.
