I had an hv-6 once, mounted on a metal fire escape. Worked great especially
on CW.
I just got my imax-2000 from r&l electronics.
Ordered it Thursday, cost $115 including shiping.
No radials, but I doubt if it will radiate effectively below 20 meters. I
have the double extended zepp for the lower bands.
The only problem I had with the hv-6 was water got in to the bottom of it
and when it froze, it cracked off the antenna at the base.
