Thanks!  I am investigating options here, first is to make sure the scanner 
is dead.
Complicating things, the ebson driver page now requires that you except the 
lisence agreement before downloading the software.  More unfortunately the 
agree button is invisible to window-eyes or system access.
Does anybody have the
driver for the ebson 4180 scanner?
I think it is something 1173.exe, the name is gone from my clipboard.
This is a pain!!!
