Tom,
Does the movement happen before or after you tighten down the collar on the
connector? If things are moving after the collar is tightened, you probably
have a loose connector, but then you'll have to decide if you want to take
apart the front panel to fix it. Since you've seen this "problem" on
several radios, I'm guessing that the collar wasn't tightened down, and this
is just normal behavior.
