Hi, everyone.
I'll keep it short here, but I just wanted anyone interested to know that I
finally solved the problem I was having with no wave files for the N3FJP
logging software on my new Windows 7 computer.
You may recall that I was trying things with the virtual USB com port driver
and the TS590 USB port, and was just getting nowhere.
At the advice of Steve (KW3A) and some others, I picked up a second USB to
serial adapter, and connected it to the serial port on the TS590, and now,
all is well. I can use the new USB serial adapter for rig control and
logging with the N3FJP software, or for accessing the Kenwood ARCP590
software when needed. I have an older USB to serial adapter which I'm using
to key CW via the N3FJP logging software and the straight key jack on the
590, and that works well now too.
So, all has ended successfully here, finally.
