The Bios uses the speaker to warn you of serious errors during Post. There
is an index of Post code beeps to help you track down a problem. Removing
the speaker would be a mistake. As long as you speaker magnet has a couple
of inches clearance from the hard drive I wouldn't worry too much about it.
.......we are talking about the tiny little PC speaker ??
Of course you could just move the speaker or the hard drive to a different
location.
