are you sure the cable's alright? Can you try a different cable? I've
unfortunately seen a few USB cables go bad. If the reinstall doesn't work,
I'd try another cable even if it's borrowed off a printer or something.
Actually, reason 1 I went the way I did was not liking windows 7, reason 2
is I had one computer for everything which was fine but it was a laptop and
I could have it anywhere in the apartment. Of course if I use it in the
kitchen and don't get to the computer room, there's no point in going there
just to check my packet PBBS and I found that being neglected so for that
reason too I built what I think is a much better radio desk only computer.
