The GIG Health and Wellness Experience on Saturday June 16th will offer a
final event with a comedic take on living a gluten-free lifestyle. The
lecture, I am a Delicate Flower, beginning at 4:15PM and will be given by a
member of the GIG community, Sara Vollmer. Maintaining a gluten free
lifestyle presents certain challenges, and can sometimes leave people
feeling rather delicate. This lecture will provide the support and
empowerment needed to tackle those everyday difficulties. Sara will shed
some light on the fact that eating gluten free is a constant experimental
process. She believes in the importance of a strong support system and
educating oneself with the abundance of available information; both of which
can diminish the overwhelming feelings sometimes felt amongst the gluten
free community. A little laughter can go a long way and Sara will share her
personal experiences with celiac disease throughout the lecture as well as
the many tips and tools she uses to feel less and less delicate each and
every day. Begin to build your own support system and come enjoy this light
lecture with a powerful message at the GIG Health and Wellness Experience!
