The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of WCAG (1.0 and 
2.0) and Section 508, a good understanding of accessibility and 
usability for disabled people, and experience with assistive 
devices and building accessible web products.

Skills and Requirements

o	Direct previous experience with developing/designing and 
testing websites to ensure conformance to
WCAG 2.0 – Level A, Section 508.
o	Experience in WAI-ARIA implementation
o	Absolute mastery of W3C standards-compliant HTML and CSS
o	Experience using Web Accessibility Evaluation Tools
o	Knowledge of assistive technologies used for web browsing 
such as JAWS or NVDA
o	Expert knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery (including common 
plug-ins), and Ajax
o	Expert knowledge of Cross-browser compatibility (IE6, 7 and 
8, Firefox, Safari)
o	Understanding of latest innovations, trends and emerging 
technologies in user interface development
o	Should have multi-tasking abilities, be able to meet 
deadlines without compromising quality
o	Excellent oral and written communication skills
o	5+ years of professional web experience

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

o	Conduct accessibility audits
o	Increase accessibility for the existing sites’ web pages
o	Document standards and best practices for Accessibility
o	Create web applications using cross-browser, accessible, 
standards-compliant HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
o	Create HTML mockups/prototypes
o	Create custom user interface components using JavaScript 
frameworks

Position is interviewing this week (10/24/11) and you must be 
available to start very soon (within 1-2 weeks)
Position can be either W-2, benefits available or 1099.
On site only, no telecommute
Must have knowledge of Section 508 / WCAG

Preferred if consultant has earlier worked with System One
