SD cards can have a write protect tab on them. If you have a SD card
where you can't read or write to it from your PC or your Booksense then
it may be because the write protect tab is in the wrong location.

The forum at
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/11414-2-card-reader-card-write-protected
also says that some card readers are more sensitive than others, and you
may need to place a piece of tape over the notch that indicates to the
card reader that the SD card is write protected.

Short of that, have you tried reformatting the SD card? Have you
rebooted your PC? When removing the SD cards, are you using the "safe to
remove" option to ensure you aren't corrupting the file system?

It sounds like you're running Windows. What version of Windows? What SD
card are you using and what PC/card reader?
