What type of books are they? If they are the kinds that RFB&D records,
you'd have a better chance getting them done there. Or through
Bookshare, you just scan them and share the files (that is the
simplified version; process has just a few more steps).
Often audiblecom has newest books read by the author but there e is a
fee to join.
What's the book you need/want?

Does anyone know if there is a way to request certain books be added to
the NLS BARD catalog? A procedure, an email address, a web site,
anything.
