yep, Mr. Murphy usually pays a visit just about the time you get stuff set 
up again.
That said, winter is typically the DX season on the bands above 40M during 
the sun spot years.
Looks like we're getting a little taste of how things are going to be for 
the next few years.
And how long ago was it that so many people were saying we would have the 
worst sun spot cycle ever recorded in terms of propigation and band 
conditions?
And, here we are, hardly even into the beginning of this cycle, and band 
conditions are better right now, than the peak of several cycles that most 
of us can remember.
I expect there will be another lull before too long, but this kind of thing 
is going to happen more and more often, and for longer periods as we get 
into this cycle.
The 5W, ten meter mobile working european, asian and australian pile ups is 
certainly not out of the relm of possibility this time around.
