mark:
bear in mind also, that pressing the function key, which is the A key, and
then the 3 Key will put you into dual receive mode, which can get mighty
confusing. You can turn it off by pressing function then 3 again.
Also, when you switch from A to B bands, using just the 3 key, you can
select either Memory, or VFO for each receiver independant of the other one.
So you can have VFO selected in B band, and memory in A, or the reverse, or
any combination.
The VFO key is the second one down on the right most colum, and the Memory
button is the third one down in the same far ight colum.
Its always a good practice to hit the button for the particular mode you
want, either memory, or VFO, when you switch from A to B, or B to A...just
to make sure you are where you want to be.
So, If I want to switch to B band to listen to 14.178 for instance, I press
the 3 key, since I usually have my radio in MR mode on A band, and then hit
the VFO button to insure I'm in VFO mode. Then I press enter, to the right
of the zero key, enter 14.150 and then enter...then I might have to hit
function 2 a few times to select upper sideband..
I tend to leave my B band on some kind of reference frequency, or at least
with an open squelch so that if I ever accidentally turn on dual receive
mode, I'll know it.
