I visited him briefly in 1966, and he showed me the rig Rick Joy was using, especially the speaker cone he felt to copy CW. I had a weekly CW schedule with Rick for many months before he began working at Hewlett-Packard. I lost track of him after that. He was a challenge to copy until he got a keyer.
