Russ Feingold may have lost but he remains Africa's friend. We all feel the pain of such a huge loss for America and Africa. But as painful and regretful as this loss may be, we believe that he will rise again. In American politics, this is only a cycle and as Felix rightly put it "the pendulum will swing again" and we will smile again. And let this be a very important lesson for all of us: that when we choose to sit on the sidelines, our heroes fall and we all bear the consequences.

He was the go to person and has helped quite a few people with immigration issues; he also championed African issues in Congress. What a loss! Like one of my nephews in London likes to remember all his friends who voted for the present coalision government, "elections have consequences."
