I spent the weekend at Atlantic Beach, NC.
Had success eating at Sanitary Fish Market in Morehead City ( on Evans Street on Bogue Sound- beautiful view) Had lump crab and baked potato.
Clawson's in Beauford (on Front Street) they took my card at the desk and came back with a menu marked by the cook. Several choices. He also came to the table to make sure I understood what I could eat and said he was working on a gluten free dessert.
Island Grill on Atlantic Beach (on Monkey Island Drive) had shrimp and grits with spinach and mushrooms that was good.
Also on Atlantic Beach I ate at the Crab's Claw. I had peel and eat shrimp and a rice and pea dish that was very good. Rest of the party said their food was very spicy but good. It was a little bit of a dive but was ocean front.
I also went to the Sherridan Hotel while some friends had breakfast there. I did not eat there but the waitress said while they did not have a gluten free menu they would cook any gluten free food someone brings in with them.
