Having spent about a month of time in the hospital last year, it appears 
that they have relaxed their restrictions on cell phones.  Residents stood 
next to my bed, calling doctors on their cell phones.  Nurses called 
residents, I called friends.  Probably in and around operating rooms and 
radiology areas it is more restrictive but that is a pretty limited area.

Probably wouldn't be using the cell network, but WiFi networks around the 
building.
