My top choices for recording meetings are the Victor Reader Stream and the
various Olympus digital recorders (talking versions if you can afford it,
but if not, they beeps when you switch folders, etc.). I know people who
use things like the Braille Note, Pac Mate, Voice Note, and the Icon for
typing in their notes. For a simple recorder (like a memo minder type
thing), check out the Wilson. Olympus has a new simplified digital recorder
called the DP-10. Veterans are being given a recorder called the Milestone,
which looks like a really neat recorder (only 6 buttons), yet it can also do
other things, like play audio books. It's really expensive. Here's a link
to it. http://www.lssproducts.com/product/milestone-312-audio-player/224

Subject: [VICUG-L] 15 seconds of fame?

Hi everyone,
Hi everyone,
I'm writing an article about the various methods blind people use for taking

notes. It occurred to me that I should also throw the question to this list

of techies!
When you go to a meeting or other setting where you want to take notes on
information given, what is your device and method of choice? And, secondly,

if you're out and about and need to capture a quick fact like a phone number

or date, how do you make note of it?
Thanks in advance for all and any responses!
Deborah
