Hey Phil!
So happy to hear that Sandy's surgery went well. Now we will pray for a
quick and full recovery.
BTW, young man, hope you had a great birthday yesterday, despite Sandy's
ordeal.
Cheers!

The shoulder replacement went perfectly. Her right arm and hand are still
numb but it will thaw out over night and into tomorrow. She still won't be
able to use that right hand and arm for several days; perhaps weeks,
because it is wrapped up and in a sling for some time to come. The surgery
took about 1.5 hours. Gretchen is spending the night up at the hospital
with Sandy. Oh, that was a nerve blocker they used to totally numb her arm
and shoulder for pain management for the first 24 hours. She is granted
all the pain meds she needs for the next few weeks because physical therapy
is quite painful. She is doing well, more than a little nervous starting
out, but she is fine. Lots of frustration coming because Sandy isn't one
just to sit around and she loves to cook and she won't be doing that for a
few days. Thanks for the prayers because, as I said, it all went well.

Phil.
