Thursday night about midnight Ben was sitting at the computer. I asked him
waht he was doing and it took about  thirty seconds for him to answer. I
touched him and discovered he felt clamy and sweaty. I thought perhaps his
blood sugar levels had dropped so I gave him a glucose tablet. I continued
trying to talk to him but he became less responsive, finally not answering
me at all. I called 911 and soon within two minutes the first responders
were at my door. Ben's sugar was 37. They took him to the local hospital my
daughter and I soon followed. I was so afraid, when Ben didn't respond, I
tried to remain calm giving the dispatcher all my information, name address
how to find my apartment. Ben's blood pressure was 225 over 100 something,
they gave him some glucose and by the time he got to the hospital he was
starting to talk some. We stayed a few hours and once they felt Bebn was
stable we came home. 
Ben said hhis suugar was 225 and he took some insulin trying to lower it, he
took a larger than normal  dose trying tolower it but since he didn't eat
anything with the insulin it dropped his sugar very quickly.
It is suuch a hard thing sometime to try to regulate the sugar...I am so
glad Ben is ok, God certainly helped me to remain calm, find Ben's id,
insurance card and the list of medications that he is taking.Thank YOu God
for  the presence of mind to do what needed doing, for Ben's  health, and
for the reminder of just how much those we love mean to us!
