I am a biopsy diagnosed Celiac of 40 years and have done well on the gluten free diet, although, needless to say, it was much more difficult in the early days. However, over the past five years I have also become dairy (casein), soy, and, most recently, corn intolerant which is making my life VERY difficult, especially with traveling and dining out. It is also very problematic finding supplements and medications because most have a filler in them of dairy, soy or corn starch. So, my questions are:

1. Are there other Celiacs out there with these multiple food intolerances? If so, how do you manage?
2. Why do you think one becomes intolerant to other foods? (Isn't gluten enough to deal with??)
3. Where does one get supplements and medications without fillers? (I am on Medicare and Medicare Part D so I have to deal with the pharmacy in my formulary.)
4. What type of doctor could I see about this problem? I have already seen GI doctors, an allergist, and my primary care who offered no solutions or information. I feel like I am on my own in this.

I will summarize and many thanks for your valuable input.

Jane in MD
