Pretty significant noise leverl here today as well. Heard Kevin and
Butch was up and down but that is all I heard this afternoon. A bit
disappointing - I had OZ1ETA in the shack - Nils, his wife, daughter
and brother in law have spent a lot of the last week with us. My
station worked more DX in the past week than in the three years I
have lived at this location.
Nils' connnection goes back with our family to his high school days,
more than twenty-five years ago. He spent a year with us - a perfect
match right - low vision guy livint with two blind parents and a ham
on top of it. Then he was a "no code tech" or Danish equivalent but
now is quite a DXer and a very competent CW op. So we were looking
forward to checking in to the net, which he already knew about but
the band gods said NO!!
So he worked Russia and Japan on seventeen instead!!
