It's easy. The best way is to go to the web site and the validations page.
Use your check card or credit card and pay 1 dolor and you can get up and
running in no time. This is how I did it.

Hello,
I downloaded the software for echolink today.  I got a message when =
installing the software that if you never used the service before you =
would have to validate your call sign.  could someone tell me how this = is
done?
