Hi folks,

What fun it is to have a new rig, but, not for this family, not at this time.

One of the reasons for buying the Kenwood 2000 some years ago was that it has 2 and 440 and an extra receiver. As Skywarn coordinator for eastern IL and western IN I use 3 receivers in any given weather event so as well as the 590 we would need to buy a dual band rig to replace the 2000s high end. It still does a good Job on HF and the thing I like best is that it is paid for, grin.

I may have a new rig at some point, but, as for now, its the good old 2000 for me.

I said for this family, My wife Suzie and 6 of our 8 kids are hams.
