    Well, Colin, it's now on my list of projects, and you never know, I may 
just do it!!!!

If it looks like I will be getting the time, I'll probably check with you 
for more specific details.

Tom: it only takes a couple hours to build, not 4 days or a week or
something.
You wouldn't have to take a vacation from work or anything like that hi hi.
it takes an evening to build, and how ever long it takes to order the parts
off the internet.

And steve, having an RJ45 jack makes things easier as you don't have to
solder up an 8 pin round plug like I did...very tedious that.
All you have to do is sacrifice a piece of cat5 like the one that goes from
the computer to the router or whatever...I used a terminal block inside the
hamond box to connect the different wires and so on.
all I had to solder, other than the mike plug itself, was one leg of the
resisters to one lug of the switch.
sounds like menu A and B would work for now though.
