That is a very good explanation. The first radio I had as a ham was a
lafayette he 20. It was a c b rig of corse and had an if of 1.650 or 1650
khz. Was a snap to convert to ten meters, I swapped crystals using the
original xmit for receive, making it low injection istead of high and the
receive which were on the high side and right in the ten meter band became
my transmit crystals. I had a ball with that radio and still have it.
