Butch:
I swear there is an adjustment in one of the menus for UT102 volume.
I seem to recall having that problem with mine too, but remember adjusting
it. I had to, because it was a rig that I used for Field Day, and often in
our motor home, so needed the volume to be a bit higher than usual.

I did go to a e s and bought the synthesizer and the i-100 tuner. I
considred getting the at-100, but they didn't have one in stock and I
wasn't sure what the up down manual tuning buttons did and all that, so I
figured I'd keep it simple, just one button. On another note, the
synthesizer works, but the level seems low. It is fine if you don't have
much signal, but it is covered up by the noise unless I turn the rf gain
down. Any suggestions? I called a e s and they said no level adjust on
the board. I called icom and they are supposed to call me back.
Yep, it is a nice little radio, nice for portable or mobile, just a simple
little rig.
