I use webvisum with firefox to deal with this issue.

Whenever I have joined a yahoo group like the TS480 group or the TMV71A
group, that is the part of the registration process for which I've always

For Ed, and anyone else interested, Deciding to give it one last go, I
followed John's suggestion and actually submitted my request to join via the
Yahoo groups website. Having selected my Yahoo profile, and providing a
brief note of introduction I finally got subscribed.
Of course doing it this way necessitates dealing with the verification
image, which is a pain, but it would appear this is the only method of
subscribing to this particular list.
