Subject: [VICUG-L] SoftPhone
Hi All,
As I've mentioned on this list, one of the things I do for a living is
language interpreting. I work both on-site and over-the-phone. My
over-the-phone work is for a company that uses analog phone lines, but some
companies are starting to switch to digital/computer lines. Below is a
question from someone who works for a company that has started to go
digital. She's asking about the accessibility of soft phones. does anyone
here have experience with them. I'm interested in case my company does the
same.
Ciao
Question about Soft phones:
The company I work for is going to change the telephone platform they have
to a computerized system that uses what they are calling softphone. They
say there are different softwares one can use for this kind of system. Does
anybody have experience with that? I would like to know mostly whether
there is a good software which would work well with jaws. I use jaws 14.
