In the past I've considered www.southwest.com, the website for Southwest
Airlines, to be one of the more access-friendly sites out there for booking
travel. They even have a link that screenreader users can enable to get more
functionality--at least in theory. Something must have happened, because the
scrrenreader link no longer works. I went to investigate fares for a trip
I'm taking in early August. When the screenreader functionality was enabled
before the airport selection came up as a combo box, and you selected which
airport you wanted to depart from and arrive at. Not so anymore. Now it's a
straight edit box, much like Travelocity has, which wouldn't be a problem
except Southwest's doesn't seem to work. Whether or not the screenreader
link is enabled doesn't seem to have any effect anymore. Anybody have any
bright ideas?
