I wrote to the list back in August or September about the problems I
encountered with JAWS 10 and Vista Home Premium 64 bit. The problem was
that JAWS would not properly and completely install. I had some extended
discussions with Freedom Scientific and the only thing that made any sense
was that the video driver was out of date or had a compatibility problem.
I updated various ways and times with no success.
The processor was a 64 bit Intel quad core on a Gateway desktop.
I am waiting for an upgrade to Windows 7 to try my hand at it again. Since
this is my wife's computer, it is not essential that JAWS work on it; JAWS
is used by me only to help when my wife needs some technical help. However,
the experience has raised serious questions as to the stability,
compatibility etc. of the various products involved.
