The mike is 8 pin.  On the radio, connector is 8 pin, control for the 71 
is 6 ;pin and on the 710 it is 8 pin.  Radios are exactly the same.  When 
you get the stock radio, the control head can be detached and flipped 
either way.  There is a short pig tail that connects the head to the 
radiol.  You could use this cable and a double female 8 pin and 8 pin 
cable to radio.  It really isn't rocket science!!!
