just for clerity, the name of the radio is wouxun. that is W, O, U, X, U, N.
Pronounce it like the word ocean, but with a W sound in front of ocean.
Just looked, and there is an ebay seller from hong kong selling the wouxun 
KG-UVd1P with a 1700MA battery, speaker mike, ear piece, programming cable, 
and software for $105 plus $25 shipping anywhere in the world.
$130 and you'd be completely set up.

My friend just payed $150 for the radio, $30 for the programming cable and 
another $20 for shipping...that was from a regional dealer...
