Buddy, both my wife and I are extras and we botu use Morse.

As to dumbing down, because I've been a VE for a number of years I've been able
to look at older test materials etc.  Trust me: I wouldn't have made the
statement if I couldn't back it up.  I've only been on air this go round since
2003.
