Certainly. Hold down your Windows key and press the Pause/Break key, which,
on a standard QWERTY keyboard, is the rightmost key in that group of three
keys just above the six-pack. That opens up the System applet in Control
Panel.
The System applet is a multi-page dialog that covers just about anything
you'd want to check out, but, for your purposes, you can look around the
General tab and find everything you want, including the processor type, it's
speed and available RAM. Note that you won't be able to tab around this
screen to hear this information; just use your screen reader's command to
read the entire window, or, use your mouse cursor to do a screen review.
Either method will get you what you need.
