Just type j. Don't type ctrl+alt, as they are the default addition
anyway. then tab to OK, and press enter then. never shift+tab in this
dialogue, as that nullifies your hot key shortcut.

Subject: [VICUG-L] making a hot key in jaws 12, it won't work!!!!!

Hi all,
I'm using a gateway laptop, running windows xp pro, and jaws 12 pro.
I'm so angry at this moment!!!!
I go to the desktop, and right click on the jaws 12 icon on the desktop.
Then I click properties.
Then I tab down to where the hot key field is and type control alt j.
It doesn't register!
Darn it all, just what I need. Folks, I can just see it now! I'll be
working on something and I won't be able to launch jaws with a hot key!
I tryed to launch narator with windows u, and narator doesn't even
speak. The reason I launched narator is, if you use narater, you can do
a hot key with jaws.
Now darn it all, someone tell me how to solve this problem.
This hot key doesn't register. However, up arrow, down arrow, right
arrow, and left arrow register. Folks, I don't want that, I want
control alt j.
Harry
