    Hey, Don.

I use a Perkins every day for certain tasks both at work and at home, so you
definitely are not alone.

Here's a real good Brailler repair person:

alan ackley

Alan is located in Des Moines, Iowa.

Alan not only is very knowledgeable and conscientious about what he does,
but his prices are extremely reasonable. He also keeps you informed via
e-mail about every step in the repair process, and regularly gets your input
as to whether or not to proceed.

I honestly can't think of anyone else I'd rather send my Perkins Braille
writers to.
