Dear Listmates,

I'm still shaking my head over Dominos Pizza's gluten free pizza crust announcement - you know, the pizza crust they explicitly tell celiacs to avoid, in the small print.

However.....I just picked up a copy of the Grocery Store Stop n' Shop's "free" spring 2012 Healthy Ideas magazine and I truly can't compliment them enough on the magazine's first article in the issue about the gluten-free lifestyle. I've not seen such a clear precise article before in a "magazine".

Sarah Glunz, MS, CNS and Lisa Coleman MS,RD,LDN have done an excellent job of explaining our needs, where gluten is found and contributing excellent info about gluten free baking which included a recipe for gluten-free strawberry banana muffins that I look forward to making.

Stop n Shop on Hillside Avenue, Queens NY is really quite amazing - lots of gluten free products, a mention of gluten free in the in-store announcements and last year there was also a mini gluten free cookbook available for sale at the checkouts (yes, I bought it!).

Regards,
Helen
