How about a Heil Gold Line Mic like the GM5, and the Pl2T boom?

This is what I have and it works great with my Kenwood TS480.

Don't know how it would work with your Drake set-up, but it's certainly
worth looking into.

Subject: looking for microphone with boom

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone knows of a good mic with boom?

At my opporating position, where a desk mic would usually set, I have a
Braille display and computer keyboard. So a desk mic would limit my access
to the computer. I'd like to find a mic whose boom could be mounted off to
the side and extend into the center of the opporating position. Ideally,
the mic would have switchable impedance, or at least be a good match for the
old Drake transmitters.

Any suggestions please? Thanks.
