Before I got the TS590, I would have bought an FT2000 in a minute if access 
had been built in!  But I must say that the TS590 has ONE GREAT RECEIVER! 
The transmitter is GREAT too as it puts out over 100 watts with out much 
wasted heat, and the cooling fans almost never run and when they do, they 
are extremely quiet!

I've still got to wonder, if kenwood can do such a wonderful job of access,
where is icom and yaesu?

I'd buy an 817 with that much access so fast it would still be hot from
getting here.
 Same might be true for one of the high dollar icoms.

Not implying that the kenwood is a bad rig, it is not.  Just different
nitches.
