Steve,

I checked before I tried anything for that very reason, and was very happy 
when things worked.  You would think Kenwood would continue to use the same 
pin-outs, but I also know how the insidious Mr. Murphy likes to let the 
smoke out of new radios.  Keep me posted on your adventures with your new 
radio.
