Bob:

I know exactly what you are talking about now. Thanks for the
clarification. Will try that as well, since I have several of them lying
around in a drawer just waiting to be used.

Tom it is one of those adapters that a three prong cord plugs into and the
two prong goes into the wall. What it does is isolates the ground.

    Bob:

Can you describe the two-prong adapter you are referring to here, and where
I might get them?

I do indeed think my problem is a ground loop issue of some sort, so am open
to any possible solution, as long as it is affordable.

Tom have you ruled out a ground loop. If you have not try one or two of
those two prone adapters . That helped me one time.

    Well, thanks, John.

I'll check that direct cable hook-up possibility out if things aren't
resolved by my other strategies.

I think I'm getting closer to the solution, but I thought I actually had it
pegged with the Heil foot switch.

Then again, I'm not sure how that foot switch is wired, so I can't argue
definitively.

I believe that Bob did everything he could to help out. He certainly took
an interest in the situation.

You can get cables on eBay or I think amaratron now has them, where you can
connect the radio directly to the amp and you don't need any boxes or
anything, probably cheaper on ebay and might be worth a shot.
