Hi Howard;
I am using the software synthesizer and the problem comes quite
regularly. Once you know what's going on and just keep on doing what
you are doing it seems to fix itself but its annoying to say the least.
It seems to only happen when I am inputting data. I can read until my
ears get tired and the problem never shows up. I got the idea the first
time I called tech support that the problem was limited to certain
machines which I suspect means certain mother boards. I'm using windows
7 at home but no braille display with no difficulty. I am using xp at
work with an old but usable power braille 40. I hate to make to big a
fuss because the obvious conclusion would be that a blind person
couldn't do this job. Its the ultimate retirement job, totally flexible
hours, nominal brain power required and at the end of it all you have
some toy money.
I talked with someone named Mike both times who I thought was pretty
good but nothing on the gw site seemed to mention the problem or suggest
that 7.5 would fix it.
If you learn any more I would be interested.
