Well, to put it simply, everything in the TMV71A speaks, including menu
items, PL tone selections, etc..
It is far superior in terms of accessibility to either the Kenwood TMV7A, or
the TMG707.
If you have the extra cash, I'd suggest going for the TMV71A, since it is
probably the most accessible dual-band VHF/UHF rig out there.
