firstly, you can go to:
Follow the links, and locate the th F6A manual, and quick guide etc.
Now, as for your questions.
To set squelch, press the 5 key once, and then use the multi-control knob on
the top of the radio to set the squelch. When you have set it to where you
desire it to be, hit the 5 key again and it'll save it.
You can change "mode", and I assume by mode you mean USB, LSB, CW, AM and
FM? By pressing function, which is the top right most key of the keypad,
and then press the number 2. You can cycle through the modes by pressing
function 2 again and again.
You must press function each time though.
For power setting, you can use the 1 key.
Press the one key to cycle between high, low, and extra low.
High power will be the lowest beep, then the next is low, and the third is
extra low, just before you hear the low beep for high power again.
So there is one low beep for high power, and two high pitched beeps for low
and extra low.
Read through the manual on ICanWorkThisThing.com and you'll get allot more
info...especially for things like dual receive, A band and B band etc.
You can switch between VFO a and VFO B by using the 3 key. It is suggested
in the manual to use VFO A for any ham use since the receiver is a little
better on A band than on B band. the best way to tell which VFO you are on
is to use the 2 key, which is the band key. When you are in VFO A, it'll
have three selections, the low beep is 2M, the second beep is 220MHZ and the
third beep is 440. It'll just cycle between those three with key 2 if you
are on VFO A.
If you are on VFO B, there are a whole lot more bands to cycle through, so
you will have to hit the 2 key about 10 times to hear the low beep
again...you must use VFO B to listen to anything outside the ham bands
though.
