Don't panic. ... I think this is turning out to be speculation, rather than
fact.
It was just one of those rumors that floats around every once in a while.
If you want to quell your curiosity for sure, just call HRO or another ham
equipment dealer, and hopefully, you'll get an accurate answer, because I
would think they should know the status of things.
Again, I didn't mean to cause panic with my post last night.

Is it really true that the TMV71A is now no longer in production?
Can someone re-confirm that?
What a shame!
I am a blind ham, and have three TMV71A's; one for the house, one for the
family vehicle, and one for our RV.
I have never had such a user-friendly and blind-accessible base rig.
